Welcome, everybody, to this 2023 pre-draft.

Draft Day, basically, addition to the football GM podcast Mike Sando of the

athletic here along with the GM Randy Mueller how are you doing Randy you ready for the draft

I am Mike I'm looking forward to it it'll be cool to watch it unfold it's that time of

year and as you know I love the whole process of it all.

So I'm into it, whether I'm in a war room or not.

I think I understand what these guys are going through.

And it's a lot of fun for me.

When we get closer to the actual draft like today, I harken back to some of the time when once the haze in the barn,

you kind of get a little bit of exhale, right?

And I remember a couple of things I did like the night before the draft, I wanted to get out of there.

I wanted to get out of the draft room and get away and kind of clear my head.

You have so much clutter in there. I remember one time I took a couple of the guys and we played nine holes of

golf in the evening the night before. Another time, Mickey and I took our daughters, Mickey

Loomis, took our daughters to a play in Seattle, Lion King. And so we did just something to get away, something to get all of the jargon out of your mind. And so the last 24 hours or so I've been thinking about some of those things we used to do. Nowadays, they'd probably say, oh, you don't want to work. You don't want it bad enough, you know. Yeah, yeah. Well, hey, there's a lot of Lion Kings out there, but it's the lying kings. Yeah. Yeah, you write about that. Because check out this headline.
