clichés announcement. After three years and 262 glorious episodes for the Athletic, in which we

brought a handful of previously mundane phrases to unnecessarily mainstream attention, and

learn the footballing loves and hates of politicians, footballers, TV presenters, stand-up comedians

and cult deputy chief medical

officers, the football clichés podcast is moving to a new home. Those 262 episodes will stay

right here in the back catalogue, but we'll be relaunching the pod on a brand new feed. Your

favourite adjudication panelist, Charlie Ackleshare, and of course David Walker, will be back

with me to continue our exploration of the unique

language of football and beyond. Plus a rotation of clichés regulars and some star guests to nominate their footballing Mezzat, Harlan Dix.
