A week ago, the Eagles made their first round pick, and it was Mackay Lemon.

Let's get Andrew to check those thoughts on that, and he had predicted on the show that the Eagles

would trade up.

Monroe Freeling was there at 19.

Andrew, was that who the Eagles were trying to maneuver up to go get?

He goes at 19 and then they have a guy they like in Lemon still on their list.

What do you make of their night trying to, you know, possibly move up a little further?

Because it sounded like they wanted to try to get to 15, 16 somewhere in there.

Yeah, I mean, that was my presumption, Mike, that Monroe framing was the guy, but I haven't

gotten that confirmed.

But one can sort of draw conclusions knowing how much time they spent really evaluating the

offensive tackle position and some of the preeminent players at that position.

So I think it was more so they saw value. They didn't expect

Mackay Lemon to be there. There was a need for wide receiver and it's certainly aligned.

You know, I really like the pick. I think he's someone who projects as an early impact kind of

player. He can thrive over the middle of the field, win on some of those in-breaking routes,

really, really razor-sharp route runner can separate the top of the routes and physical at

the catch point. He kind of reminds me in body type and skill set, like a Steve Smith, and then

after the catch, he reminds me a little bit of Golden Tate, acting almost as a bowling ball

and defenders being the bowling pen. He really fights for every yard. So it's a really good fit

from an intangible, from a skill set perspective, based off of what we're expecting the

Eagles to do under Sean Manette. Right. So they get him at 20. He is a slot guy. You know, that's where he ran a lot of his
