But that's about where my family's connection to Iowa State kind of runs out.

My mom went to Nebraska. My dad's a guy from Oregon who ended up in Iowa after playing college baseball and then has been here for most of the

rest of his life.

And one day, seven plus years ago, I woke up in the dorm room at Kresge Hall at Simpson College and decided I was done playing basketball and I wanted to go to Iowa State.

I've been to Ames twice in my entire life I think and both

times it was for a football game and other than that I knew nothing about Iowa State.

I told my mom and dad that that's where I felt like I needed to be and and they

stood behind me they supported me 100% in making that decision and this job

this industry is a grind and I know that you've heard me and Chris talk about that before

But there's so much that goes into you know really getting to even where I'm at you know and, and by no means am I finished with my goals
