Number one, interest rates are plummeting.

The 10-year treasury is now yielding 2.48% down from 3.24% last November. March saw one of the biggest drops in rates,

certainly in the last couple of years. So why does that matter? Well, we talked briefly on a

about the inversion of the yield curve, where short-term rates are yielding higher than long-term

rates. Well, it's solidly inverted there in March, which traditionally in the past has

happened before each of the last nine recessions. So a little worrisome.

The good news, or at least neutral news, is that doesn't mean a recession is imminent.

Sometimes there's a good year or two in between the time of inversion and recession.
