I am talking with Folsom Custom Skies, Mike McCabe, about the skinniest ski in the Folsom lineup, the SPAR 78, and then we

jump to a new, huge pow-ski called the rotor, which if you are a real hardcore Gear 30 fan,

you will remember a Gear 30 conversation that we had back in April

about this new ski and this new ski now exists in the world. So we go from skinny frontside ski

to big old Monster Pow ski and then, and then folks, we really get into the weeds, you know,

in a very good Gear 30 type of way, talking about a new custom touring ski project for yours

truly. So in this conversation, you're going to hear Mike and me talk about how this custom

touring ski project came to be.

And then for all you self-respecting gear dorks out there, I think you're really going to

dig hearing Mike and me talk about different materials and construction layups to hit different weight points in the making

of this ski. And I have a hunch because I know you, you gear 30 dorks. This is really going to get

your wheels turning too as you think about weight points to downhill performance and who knows, maybe you'll

end up on your own custom ski project and have to sort some of this out for yourself too.
