home, and it would take going down a whole bunch of different rabbit holes for her crime to

Dana Laskowski was described as one of the happiest kids alive.

Born in 1965 and raised in the small city of Poyolup, Washington, just about 35 miles south of Seattle,

she seemed to have a zest for life even at a young age, and was the kind of

person who could make friends with anyone, a talent that carried on into adulthood, along with

her father's talent for art. Though he was an award-winning artist who had a successful career

in architectural illustrating, Dana seemed content to make art her hobby,

more focused on her dream of opening up her own daycare center one day.

She was very maternal and nurturing, definitely the type of person you trust with your child.

But Dana's capacity for love also had its downside.

More than anything, she wanted to find herself a companion with which she could start a family,

and in 1989, she fell hard and fast for a man named Sam.
