Hello and welcome back to practicing human, the podcast where every day we're getting a little better at life. I'm your host, Corey Mascara, and in today's episode, we are going to talk about the feeling of truth. More to come on that in a moment. First, let's settle in together with the sound of the bells.

So in the last few years, I've been using language, such as following one's truth or connecting to one's truth.

And I sometimes use that interchangeably with connecting to the soul space or one's inner compass or even the more broadly used term of alignment finding what feels aligned and as i've shared in other episodes the pursuit of this

of connecting to this is often a distinction between, you know, the ego space

and the soul space and the different ways we might conceptualize those two. So I just want to speak

very specifically in this episode to what is the experience and more specific than experience?

What is the feeling of truth when it's moving through you?

And when I say truth, I'm not referring to like you're getting a bunch of data from political pundits.

And it's like, oh, that's true and that's not true i'm talking about a particular resonance

in your system your mind body system your felt experience that is essentially a feedback mechanism

as you are interpreting and discerning experience that's moving through you.

If you just think of yourself as like a mega sensor taking in data as you navigate life,

what is the feedback mechanism that indicates something is in alignment for you?

That this on the deepest level that I can access feels like what is true for me right now is a next step. And this is very different than

logical thinking or mapping things out on an Excel spreadsheet and making the right decision or the rational decision.

This is leading your life from a different place, one that is more connected to the pursuit of

what we might coin inner freedom and expression and um fulfillment because the the nature of

this aligned space is that it has an irreducible quality there's um the the resonance of it

when you're there is such that there's nothing more. There's no place deeper. This is the

end at which all aims meet. And maybe you've experienced this in your life in different ways, whether it was

getting into a partnership or making a decision related to work or knowing when you had to end something,

there was maybe a clarity there that just, it was just a knowing.
