Hi guys, thanks for your time today.

1:05.4

Absolutely. How can Ken and I help?

1:07.4

I think it's a simple question. I think I might know the answer, but it's always good to get the reassurance.

1:14.4

I'm currently on baby step number two of which my main focus is an $8,000 car loan.

1:21.4

Said car is a little sick and is going to need a new transmission in the near future.

1:28.4

Yes, I know it could be maybe two weeks, it could be two months or maybe another year, but it is coming and I would like to try to prepare for it.

1:37.4

With the $6,000 project that it spends ahead, I did receive, luckily, a $3,500 bonus that I really wanted to send towards the loan.

1:50.4

But was curious, should I pause the baby step, apply that $3,500 towards the new transmission and work to building that $6,000 and then resume the baby step?

2:17.4

So I would be pausing that baby step until we have that situation under control.

2:22.4

What's the car worth? I'm just concerned this is an worth it at all.

2:26.4

Yeah, I know. That's my other concern. It's not going to be, I'm going to be put in $6,000 into a car that's not worth it, but I would be going into debt to get a new car.

2:40.4

What is the car?

2:42.4

It's a Buick SUV. Kelly Bluebook currently is about $8,000. So if it's a bad one.

2:47.4

Even with the transmission issue? No, that was before.

2:51.4

Who quoted you, who'd you get your quote from on the $6,000 for a Buick transmission?

2:56.4

A local service guy and I also have a second quote coming. Hopefully today or tomorrow too.

3:05.4

I'm a little skeptical of that and I'm no gear head shocking to anybody who knows me, but I recently had a 2006 Lexus.
