For many LGBT folks in the past, hearing other people tell their coming out stories was a great source of inspiration for they themselves to finally take the leap out of the closet.

Nowadays, it’s not as hard to be out and proud so it’s easy to dismiss the impact someone’s coming out storiy can have on others.

Today, comedian Rachel McCartney joins us to take a look at coming out stories, how LGBT stories were a big part of the early days of the Internet and what coming out will look like in the future.
