It's amazing what a tree and success have in common.

And we have this big tree in our front yard,

and it continues to grow and flourish.

And my wife believes it is because she fertilizes it, waters it, nourishes it, and she even talks to it.

You know, she might be onto something because I believe success works the same way.

You see too often in businesses, we focus on the fruit of the tree

and not the root and then when the root dries up we wonder where our fruit is

where's our money where's our profits where's our success., I have found that the most successful people and businesses and organizations

focus on the route. They nurture the route. They take care of that route. The people, the passion, the purpose, the spirit, and the enthusiasm.

And when you nurture people and you nurture spirit and you nurture culture, you are

nurturing the root. If you want more success, take care of the root.

Focus on the root, not the fruit. When you focus on your root, you will help you, your
