Summary
This week on Unlocked, it’s just me and my favorite person… my mom, Julie Chrisley. And if you’ve listened to us before, then you already know these conversations hit different. There’s something about the mother daughter dynamic that shifts as you get older. You go from “you’re still a baby” to real friendship, real perspective, and real respect. We talk about how relationships evolve, why parenting adult children is actually harder than raising little ones, and what it looks like to let your kids “crash and burn” even when you can see the mistake coming a mile away.
We get into everything from therapy and owning your strengths, to why talk without action is exhausting (yes… we discuss “NATO” aka No Action Talk Only and I will never look at that acronym the same again). We also dive into the harder stuff. Safety. Accountability. The world we’re living in right now. From scary local headlines to parenting in a culture that feels completely upside down, this one is honest, protective, and probably going to ruffle a few feathers. But it’s real.
And somehow, in true Chrisley fashion, we still end up laughing about Mom falling on ice and who’s actually responsible for our questionable driving skills. This episode is layered. It’s serious and it’s light. It’s faith, frustration, growth, and a reminder that even when the world feels heavy, you can choose to focus on the good.
If you love when it’s just me and Mom talking about life the way we actually see it, this one’s for you. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe and leave a review!
