Now, you've all heard me tell the story that was informed mostly by the book Front Toward Enemy written by Barbara Allen, Lou Allen's widow.

And today, she has taken the time to chat with us to answer some of our burning questions, to tell us what inspired her to tell her story of grief.

In an open book to the world, she further tells us her thoughts on what she believes caused an acquittal on a pretty good circumstantial case.

She gets nitty gritty, she tells us the good, the bad, and the ugly, and she doesn't sugarcoat her words.

Barbara Allen is a boss lady.

She's a public speaker, an author, a mom, and she's the head writer, commentator, and co-founder of American snippets.

She is Lieutenant Lewis Allen's widow, and after he was murdered, she had to figure out life.

She had to figure out how to live, how to be a woman, and how to be a mom to four boys.

It was during those years of grief, loss, and discovery that she was able to step into her own greatness, to inspire, encourage, and mentor herself and her kids.

And now, she inspires others.

She has not shied away from calling it how it is.

She's an award-winning author, and her third book is coming out in June.
