A two-nil victory for Southampton at St Mary's against Norwich.

The second goal scored in the 88th minute and what a goal from Oriole Romero. Southampton had by far the better of the game 27 shots which is more than they've had in any game at all this season.

Nine of them on target. Their XG was actually over two. 52 touches in the opponent's box, 503 passes and

59% of the possession compared to just eight shots and one on target for Norwich.

Gary, great way for Oriole Romeo to seal the victory for Southampton. What did you make of the match?

Southampton, by far the better team. It was a two-neill mauling really. Norwich didn't give enough

in the game, didn't do enough. We said before the game or I said before the game, I thought

it might be a free hit for Norwich. Getting through those Manchester City and Liverpool games,

I thought they'd be really sort of going for it tonight, but never materialised. I thought Southampton had complete control.

In the first half an hour without actually being ruthless and clinical, they sort of, like I say,

just passed it around and were keeping good possession.

But it was a walk in the park for them.

It really was in the end.

And they deserved that second goal.

And I thought Romay, I mean, Kara said it on commentary.

I thought he was the best player on the pitch. Yeah, I think Kara was going for a toss-up between him and Stuart Armstrong and the

goal just sealed it for him. But it was an interesting game to watch. It leaves Norwich struggling

again at the bottom of the table. Southampton just nudging a bit closer to those European places.
