Jet Lucenko traded from Guelph to Brantford.

What does this mean for the Flyers' 2024-13th overall pick?

Jet Lucchenco was sent from the Guelph Storm to the OHL's Brantford Bulldogs.

The way I heard about this trade was listening to Jeff Marrick's show today, and he called

The Bulldogs more of a traveling All-Star team now than an actual O HL team.

I think they're 18-0 and 5.

They are yet to lose in regulation this year and just added the 2024-13th overall pick to the mix.

Jet Luchenko has been productive since heading back to the OHL.

He played 11 games from Guelph, two goals, 15 assists, Charlie.

So he's clearly that playmaker we've been talking about,

clearly needs to work on the willingness and ability to shoot a little bit more.

And perhaps with teammates setting him up,

rather than him doing all the table setting,

he'll have a little bit more of that opportunity with Brantford.

But what was your immediate reaction to this one? Yeah, this is a dramatic improvement in terms of team quality. And I want to make it clear that Guelph last year was horrific. Yeah, they're 500 this year. They're 11, 11 and 2. They're better. Like last year they were, I believe, 19th out of 20 teams in the O HL in terms of record.

This year, they're tied for 13th out of 20 teams in terms of point percentage. So they are better. They're not as bad. But they're still not good. And compare that to Bramvert. So you mentioned Bramvert's record. They've yet to lose a game in regulation. But they could theoretically be a great defensive team. and that's how they could be winning their games.

Okay, I'll give you this.

Guelph, aside from jet luchenko has zero players jet luchenko's the

only guy who is point per game or above this season zero guys braverd has six and that's not

including luchenko who will be the seventh. Six. Six.

So. Seven guys. Yeah. And we're talking about some really good players. I mean, Jake O'Brien is the top guy. He was a guy who, you know, I really liked his potential option for the flyers at number six in the, uh, the 2025 NHL draft. He's leading the entire OHL in scoring. He's got 40 points in 21 games. So Luchenko will be below him on the depth chart because O'Brien's a center.
