We're back.

And this week we have Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego of Arizona in the House at a critical time for Democrats in the shutdown showdown.

We are on day nine, Jake, of the shutdown and both sides are dug in.

Both sides are more dug in than Republicans expected and then Democrats expected.

I would say Republicans did not anticipate Democrats could hold out this long.

They thought clean CR Democrats would fold because they folded last time.

They are not. They are not folding and Chuck Schumer who we sat down with yesterday, not

in a flyout day capacity, but he is a part of the flyout day cast.
