Hello, hello everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Fluently Ford. And today we are

fluently fixing Benson Boone. I am so excited to do this. He wasn't even really on my

radar to do an episode for. I had a Doja Cat deep dive planned, which we'll probably do next week

instead. But Benson Boone has surprised everybody. We are all going wholly backflip because he is on tour and he's been doing different covers. He did a cold play cover. He did this unbelievable. When we were young, Adele cover that has everybody absolutely bamboozled. And people are saying, Benson Boone, you you need a new label you have this most like this

soulful beautiful voice what are you doing back flipping in your sparkly jumpsuits you need to be

creating ballads that we can cry to in the bathtub you have the voice of a generation I have so many

different thoughts about Benson Boone we did a mini deep dive about him over on Patreon.

And, you know, he's just become a little bit of a meme. He's also playing into it deeply himself,

which is going to come up when I do my recommendations part of the episode. But ever since he's done

these covers, it's basically just blown people's mind. And it's opened up the door for so much potential.

And I feel like that's what the fluently fixing series is. It's not saying, we hate these people.

They suck so much at something. It's going, I see a huge gap in the marketplace for what you

could be doing and let's take advantage of it. So before we get into my specific advice for him,

I want to kind of tee it up with some of these comments that people were talking about when he was doing his cover of Adele, because I

think that we can gleam a little bit of past pop culture history with his situation and other

artists. So here's one of the comments that I read. It said, his covers are amazing, but his

released music is elevator music. Once again, another point for how we need boardrooms and logic

and this AI predictive modeling that they're doing for, you know, movie scripts and promo

for material, like get it out of art. It's got no place in art. And I would also think, too, from a

business perspective, obviously you want to throw stuff at the wall and see if it sticks, but you

want everything to be going up and to the right. And we have enough data at this point.

Get the suits and the ties out of art. They're not making good decisions when it comes to it. I was just doing a
