So today I want to talk about something important. I think it's an important distinction. A distinction is kind of like the

word difference. I want to talk about two different goals, two different parts of learning English, both very important, but sometimes people confuse these and it's

important to understand they are different. What are these two things?

Well the two things, the two goals are fluency and, number two, academic or professional mastery of English.

So we have two things, fluency and we'll call it academic level English

Now what is what do I mean? Let's talk about fluency first.

What is fluency?

Fluency comes from the word fluid,

FLU-I-D, and fluid, Flu I d. And fluid as an adjective means something that moves easily, moves easily.

Like water. In fact, as a noun, fluid means something like water. Water like.

Okay, and water moves very easily, right? It can move any direction very quickly and easily.

So fluency, we're talking about English fluency. What do we mean? Well, we mean the words move easily.

And what does that mean? It means you speak without effort.

You speak English without thinking. You speak English without translating. You speak

English fast quickly and easily. That is fluency and the effortless English club those are the

lessons you pay for that it's a fluency program a fluency program. It's focused on fluency. It's the purpose of my lessons is to help learners speak easily and quickly, easily and fast.

That's fluency.

Native speakers are all fluent.

Every native speaker is fluent.

They, unless they have a brain problem,
