produce flowers? I mean there are some out there that are pretty popular but for

the most part if you take a survey of anyone's house plant collection I would guess

that less than 10% of those plants produce flowers or at least we grow them to the point where they produce

a flower.

And so Jane has this sort of mission to promote flowering house plants.

So she goes over a couple in this episode, as well as some simple care guides

to demystify and decomplicate

You know what I would like to talk about which I'm I'm banging on about the moment is is my one woman campaign to get flowering house plants to be more popular.

Okay so we're all growing orchids, but apart from that, flowering house plants just aren't

getting the attention they deserve and I think we should all be growing more flowering house plants and I just think there's so many interesting ones probably actually our

Grandmothers were growing these plants a lot of them and yet they're sort of in the wilderness right now so I'm sort of trying to bring people back to the idea that flowering house plants might be a good thing.

The ones that I have always loved and I'm still a bit obsessed by are called Streptocarpus and these are super easy to look after.
