Hey, what's going on? Alex here, and I want to share with you how wisdom leads to a better life.

Tonight, we're talking about this very topic from Ecclesiastes chapter 7 at our house church.

I'm very excited to give the message, but I thought I'd share it with you here first.

Do you remember MapQuest? You might be too young to know what that is, but when I was in ninth grade, the iPhone came out.

And before that, we would use something called MapQuest. So say a friend would invite me over to play football after school.

I would get their address, go home, ask my parents if it was all right. If they said yes, I would take the address, I would drop it into MapQuest.com,

and up would pop this very detailed directions and map to my friend's house.

I would print it out, hold it, look at it, study it, get in the car.

My parents would drive me there.

It was so fun just seeing how the things represented on the map were represented in

real life. Very satisfying. And I would fold up that piece of paper and put it in my pocket,

save it for another day. God's wisdom is like the map quest for your life. Today we have GPS. We have

Google. We have Siri. We have Siri.

We have smartphones.

And when me and my wife go to a different island, we find ourselves still taking wrong

turns, even though we have all this access to knowledge of where to go.

The MapQuest is, the MapQuest of our day is lost.

Those papers that we used to hold and fold up, they were so accurate, so detailed.

Now we have too much access.

We have too much distractions, too much information, and so we still find ourselves getting lost.

In Ecclesiastas chapter 7 verses 1 through 6, this is precisely what Solomon says.

He says, the world is lost because it's not following the map quest.
