Hi everyone, welcome to Add Home with Sally. I'm Sally Clarkson and I have the biggest

privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement and I am just so glad

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

Hello my friends. Welcome to Add Home with Sally and friends. I am picking up in this

podcast where I left off the other day. So if you weren't able to listen to the podcast

the other day, you're finding me here in Sussex in England with my sweet daughter Sarah

who has a month old little boy named Samuel who eats all the time gobbles her up and then

there is Lillian who is not quite to years old and Thomas who is a pastor, a priest in an

Anglican church here in the Church of England. And I am just having so much fun. I'm going

to miss them terribly when I'm gone but I also miss Clay so there you go. But I'm counting

every moment precious. And so I am talking with you today about the second part of a podcast

that I started the other day about how to live sustainably, how to flourish in the meantime

because most of our lives is waiting for something else to happen for a holiday to come or

a holiday to be over for a magical moment when you think you might be happy. If you could

only get that new car, that new house, that husband, that child, whatever it is. But women

and men who flourish are those who actually learn that our capacity to become content depends

upon the spiritual decisions that we make inside where no one sees. Because circumstances

in a fallen world are never going to make you happy, no matter what they are. We were made

for more, as C. S. L. says, we were made to find purpose, we were made to find unconditional

love to find a satisfaction for the terrible sin and selfishness that we have. And so Christ

provided that. But he also gave us wisdom. There's wisdom all the way through Scripture.
