but being able to see the long-term play in a what have you done for me lately society is a good characteristic.

And by deciding not to fire Billy Napier, that is what I believe Athletic Director of Florida Scott Strickland, is doing. So I want to list the best reasons why I think this is a logical and overall smart

decision to keep Billy Napier at Florida. The first is financially. In a world where teams are

having to fill the vault for NIL, and we look to be on the verge of some sort of

revenue sharing with players, paying a $26 million buyout and then having to shell out huge money

for another coach is incredibly risky. The second is stability. I get that Napier hasn't had

much success so far at Florida. and the fan should be pissed.

You have a right to that. But bringing in a new coach to face next year's murderer's row of a schedule

after your roster is going to get gutted like a fish, including possibly losing your star future

quarterback and DJ Lagway, could leave you in a more disastrous spot than what you're in

right now. Imagine hiring a big name and then getting absolutely demolished in year one. That sets a

terrible precedent and in a college football world full of changing, stability is somewhat of an

infinity stone. The third is the possibility of him figuring it out.

We've seen coaches struggle for a while, but then figure it out. Yes, Billy's teams have

struggled to do the little things right, but he could find an answer. All it takes is one big year.
