There's pushback against Trump's deportation plan in fighting among state officials, but it's not in a blue state.

It's in Florida.

Let's break this down.

So Governor Ron DeSantis in his attempt to kiss the ring of Donald Trump, still trying to get pleased him, despite the fact that Trump passed him over for any

cabinet position, called a special session of his state legislature to try to enact laws to make

it easier for Trump to carry out his deportation plan.

One of the parts of this plan had to do with what local law enforcement and other officials

legally had to do to help or not help Donald Trump. Now, as we know, Trump has issued,

the Justice Department has issued this memo saying that they plan to criminally investigate

and prosecute local officials who go against Trump's deportation plan. And the question

really has been, how is this going to go into effect? You know, are they going to go after police

officers? Are they going to go after mayors? Are they going to go after school board officials?

Certainly putting fear into the community for sanctuary cities in particular

who are saying, we're not going to help you in your deportation plan. We may even try to stop you.

And Trump saying, well, if you try to stop us, we plan on criminally trying to prosecute you.

But it's being very vague as to how and why they would criminally prosecute him.

So Governor Ron DeSantis wants to make it easier and more clear that Trump can go after

local law enforcement to help him in his deportation plan.

But as it turns out, the state legislature, controlled by

Republicans, aren't happy about that. This GOP infighting over how far Desantis is willing to go is

alive and well in Florida. So essentially, DeSantis called this special session. They called it. They then adjourned it
