We'll zoom it out a little bit to some national talk as well with Pick Six previews,

Brett Seyotsier joining us right here on Gators Breakdown. And we're going to take a look at his

2025 college football season preview. Brett, we've had you on the show before. It's been quite some time. You've been making the rounds and hey, football season is starting pretty soon. And here we go talking some Gators, talking to SEC and talking some Big Scope college football. Yeah, Dave. Well, thanks for having me on. It's been a couple years, but hey, the optimism is back at Florida. It's been a couple years for that. So, yeah, great to be back on with you. A lot to break down here with the SEC with Florida. It's a 14th annual edition of Pick Six previews magazine and hard copies are shipping out. It's that time of year. So, yeah, and I'm really high on the Gators this time around. That's why I wanted to make sure we connected. I love the roster talent. It's crazy how much has changed in a couple months in college football for Florida. Because back November, it was getting a little bit ugly. But a strong close to the season. Another great recruiting class is best yet and a lot to like from Florida.

So I can't wait to break it down with you. Yeah, we're certainly, Gator Nation excited for the season

more. So you and I were talking beforehand. It's like, yeah, you know what? It's been about

2020, heading into that 2020 season with Kyle Trask and Cadarious Tony and Kyle Pitts.

And well, a defense that we thought was going

to be good that ended up being the killer for Florida in 2020. But it has been about that time,

you know, since we've been, I think this, and it is probably the right word, this hype for a Florida

Gator team. Yeah, I think you're right on. And I remember that 2020 team. I had him going pretty far and the offense was certainly there. And I remember they gave Alabama a tough fight there in the SEC title game, at least into the second half. But no, this is the most complete team that Billy Napier has had. And this was his approach, if you think, all the way back. I remember he was really committed to the longer term build.

I think he hired that army of staffers, and they were really committed to recruiting and developing

them for so many years.

And even with the whole transfer, you know, the transfer portal era, he's remained committed

to that player development.

So now the fruits of all that labor is here.

You love the, you know, you started the five-star quarterback with DJ Lagway and we'll work through the roster. But yeah,

I mean, this is the highest I've been on Florida since 2020. I've got them 13th in the country
