been so great. Oh, I was going to say, some might say that's too much time to see me and talk to me,

but I appreciate the enthusiasm. Yeah, we've seen each other twice in two weeks. Yeah.

No, in a week. In a week. Yeah. And that's truly mind-blowing. That's more times than we've seen each other in the last year. Yeah. Truly. It's just, yeah, it's one of those things. And somebody had posted, I ended up commenting on their Instagram, like, I always picture them just always around each other, blah, blah, blah. And I saw that right as you and I were getting lunch. And I was like, wow, what are the ads? We actually are seeing each other.

Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. So it's been great. It's been really nice to get to see you a little bit. I know you're probably going to kill me for even mentioning this, but I know that you have a very special day this year coming up, special day of the year coming up. Yeah, I don't know what that you're talking about. And so it's fine. It's not your birthday. We'll just skip right over this whole thing. Hey, you know what I would love for people to do for my birthday? And I'm not the kind of person that says this. But this episode we're doing this week is so very special to us. And there's a call to action at the end. Yeah, so as Melissa said, the story that we're talking about this week is a really special one to us. It's kind of something that we actually have never really done before on our show. as you guys know, we typically stick to cases that have been solved,

but this week we're going to be talking about a special ongoing case that has become very,

very dear to us. And it's become our mission to help an incredible family on their tireless journey

to find answers and bring a killer to justice. Before we get started this week, we do want to

stress that all parties

discussed in this story are innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.

And we're really not here to speculate on what we personally believe happened, but rather to

just share the heartbreaking story of a life loss to a senseless act of violence and to help

the family bring awareness to this case.

33-year-old Jared Bridegan was a man intent on leading an honest life.

Jared was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his faith was really

at the center of everything he did.

In his own words, his relationship with his Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, was his number one priority in life,

followed by his relationship with his wife and the privilege he had to be the father of his four children.

Jared was a truly devoted family man.
