Summary

A Note from the Moms: Hey everyone! Thanks for joining us for another early episode. We're still finding our groove, so we appreciate you sticking with us as we figure things out. The audio and our hosting get better, we promise! Welcome back to Moms and Murder! In Part 2 of the Casey Anthony saga, we pick up right where we left off: with Casey's arrest and the unraveling of her web of lies. We also introduce our brand new segment, #ImInvinciblewhen, where we share the hilariously delusional things we do to feel safe. In this episode, we cover: •The Wild Goose Chase: We follow the police as Casey leads them on a bizarre tour of her lies, from her fake job at Universal Studios to the non-existent apartment of "Zanny the Nanny." •The Discovery: We discuss the grim discovery of Caylee's remains by meter reader Roy Cronk and the media frenzy that surrounded the Anthony family home .•The Trial of the Century: From jury selection to the shocking defense strategy that threw Casey's own family under the bus, we break down the key moments of the trial that captivated the nation .•The Verdict: We revisit the not-guilty verdict that stunned the world and discuss the reasoning behind the jury's decision. •Theories and Aftermath: We dive into the most prominent theories about what really happened to Caylee, including the chilling "Zanny the Nanny" Xanax theory, and discuss where the key players are today. Join us as we try to make sense of one of the most baffling and heartbreaking cases in recent history. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

And we're actually going to open up with Kinaw. With me today is, of course, Melissa. Hi, Melissa.

0:45.4

And we're actually going to open up with kind of explaining to you guys about a new segment that we want to do before we get into all this.

0:49.8

Just a fun little thing that Melissa came up with, and I really liked it.

0:52.6

I think it's going to go really well.

0:56.8

So why don't you tell us a little bit about what we're going to be doing with our new little segment.

1:13.7

Guys, we're not very young, but we do know what hashtags are. So we started the I'm Invincible When hashtag. And what that basically is saying is the delusional ways we try to keep ourselves safe. For instance, some people put books in front of their door. So if somebody's broken in, they'll see that the books have flown

1:18.3

everywhere. Or some people will go to a gas station and roll down their back window and decide if

1:25.0

anybody breaks in, they will jump in through the car and take on the criminal.

1:30.2

No one at this table does that.

1:32.4

I definitely do not do that.

1:34.1

So maybe it was me that does that.

1:35.9

So anyway, we wanted you guys to share your best ways to keep yourself safe.

1:41.5

And Mandy and I will discuss them every week and tell you if you are

1:45.4

an idiot and if you should stop doing that or if you're just really well informed and we're

1:50.9

going to steal your idea. Right. This is just a fun way to get everybody involved with our podcast

1:56.3

and with us and we really want to see people engaging with each other and with us on our social media

2:02.4

accounts. So we hope that everybody will start to participate a little bit more and maybe we

2:09.1

will discuss your I'm Invincible When idea on the show. So either we can save some lives or

2:16.0

we can laugh at other people's crazy ideas. And we all
