Happening now, a historic flood emergency in Washington State, and the danger is nowhere near over.

This morning, rivers across the region are bursting their banks, flooding homes, and entire towns, after more than 10 inches of rain pounded the region.

In some areas, right now, the National Guard is going door to door to warn residents of the danger and help them get out.

Rescuers have already evacuated dozens of people stranded in their homes.

The U.S. Coast Guard dispatched helicopters to reach people forced into their attics.
