11 p.m. S. K. and I were at a famous local suicide spot. The Pacific Ocean was only a two-hour drive from our town. If you drove

along the coast, there was a section of guardrail that was missing along a curve,

and the cliff face there rose sharply out of the sea. To the untrained eye, the height of the

cliff was about 50 metres from the ocean to the top.

And this was the spot in question.

If you were to jump into the ocean from there, your body would land directly on the rocks below,

sending you on an immediate U-turn to heaven.
