Howdy will it's, Pastor Mark here with our study of Ecclesiasties, calling it meaningless

life. Today we're in Ecclesiasties chapter 3 versus 1 through 15 and talk is titled

Flip Flipplops in the snow and take you back to my college days.

I got accepted at colleges in California.

I wanted to go to a sunny place.

But the scholarship I got, through God's grace and Providence required that I stay in the state of Washington to obtain the financial aid and I came from a working class family.

My dad was a union drywaller construction worker,

oldest of five kids.

Mom stayed home to watch us kids.

I think I was the first man in my family

to ever go to college.

And I kind of had to pay my own way through.

My parents helped as they were able.

And so the college scholarship kept me in Washington State. And so headed over to Eastern Washington to Washington State

University to study the Edward R. Murrow School of Communications as a non-Christian at the time and the eastern side of the mountains in Washington is
