It's news-ish. So let's make the best of it. With Betty Rock on The Wally Show. Wally, do you remember how much you spent on an engagement ring for your wife? I actually do. It was not a lot of money. I had no money. What were you doing at the time? I was, yeah, I was in my last year of college. I had gone back to school. Okay. And so, I think it was $1,800. It was three-quarter-carat diamond. Nice quality, but not the biggest. And I'm sure she was thankful for it. Yes, you, oh yeah, at the time, yeah. Later on it got traded in for a bigger ring and I think it's

just a side ring now. It's a money tip for you. It just keeps going and keeps going.

Not a ton. And yeah, she was happy with it and it's what we could afford. Yeah. Well, nowadays,

when it comes to engagement rings, a lot of the younger generation claim that instead of it being a traditional symbol of love, it's become more of a financial burden. So there was this old adage of you should spend about three months of your salary.

Used to be two. And then some lady was like, uh, two's not enough.

Let's make it three guys.
