Monster House Presents. Hey there, Monster Talkers. Blake here, and I'm hopefully winding down our summer flashback series.

My wife and I made it successfully through our skeptoid fundraising cruise and had an amazing time celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary by traveling

through the Bermuda Triangle, visiting Coral Castle, and of course going back to Key West

to see Robert the doll for the second time. I did a little tour where I introduced Robert with

the traditional folklore, and then I revealed some interesting findings that I had made while

prepping to play

docent for these adventurous attendees. So this week, we're going to flash back to October of

2016, where we interviewed Dr. Corey Convertito, curator of the Key West Art and Historical Society,

which oversees the Fort East Martello Museum, which is the home to Robert the doll.

I re-listened to this one and was

reminded of the interesting challenge that she had, like a lot of museums and parks, getting funding

for such places is increasingly difficult, and public interest in fact is often being significantly

diminished in these distracted times. There's much more money to be made from ghosts and legends

if a mystery can be nurtured. And Robert the doll is, to reference Glenn Gary Glenn Ross, a closer.
