unusual guest in that we have never had someone on the show that's

written a novel because that's not normally what we're about. We're about, you know, discovering

happiness and discovering well-being and normally that's through nonfiction. And so it's interesting

because you offer so much insight. There's so much wisdom in this book.

And I wonder what made you decide to write this as a novel versus a nonfiction book?

Well, I've written two other books, which are both nonfiction.

The first book was written 15 years ago.

It was called What Do I Do Now a Handbook for Life?

And in the introduction or preface, I say that the two factors most important for

happiness, because it's a book about happiness, are relationships you develop and the accomplishments

that you accrue in your life. The second book was more of a philosophy book. Also, though,

about life and really is about a very small topic, what the purpose of life is.
