Well, since we have some time on our hands with the bye week and whatnot and I figure since it's Saturday for you with college football and

all that this would be a good time not just to do a mock draft but to bigger than that look

forward and say how do we fix this team in

2025? Right? Look, might be a great team, might win the Super Bowl, I don't know, but every

team has to ask this question. What's wrong and how do we fix it? And so, I'll be honest, I started

down this path. My head is spinning and I said, let's just push record. So we're doing this semi-live. But that is going to be the goal for today. And remember, before we even get into the draft, so the first thing you got to do is look at the draft, determine how you feel about things, the positions, etc., and then turn your attention

to free agency and say, we've got to do some work here. Before we get there, though, because that is

going to be the plan, I want to talk a little bit about Brian Gutikunst. He went to the podium,

had a couple things to say, so we'll rip through that real quick. It's pretty radio silence from the Green Bay Packers. Makes sense. It's a by-week, as much as it would be nice for the bi-week to be like just an extra week of practice but no game. It's really just everybody goes home and does whatever they want, and so it's pretty quiet out there. But anyways, obviously, he opens it up talking about Preston Smith, just kind of thank you for your time, et cetera, et cetera. And that opens up questions about, okay, what happens now? Is it going to be more Mosby, Cox, whatever? And he mentions that it's, first of all, it's going to be both of them. We're going to be seeing more Mosby and Cox. He said the team is really excited about it.

Personally, I'm excited about it.

I know it sounds stupid on its face to think, oh, yeah, I'm sure Mosby and Brenton Cox

are going to be better than Preston Freaking Smith.

But remember, Preston Smith was playing like Nick Perry in his final year when it just went to zero.

It's, if Mosby or Cox can come in and be, you know, slightly subpar, it's going to be better than Preston.

If they come in with a 9% pressure rate, I know not everything is pressure rate, but I'm just saying.

If they come in with a 9% pressure rate, that's almost double what Preston was getting. And that's not great. And remember, I mean, we've seen very little of Mosby, and obviously it was very impressive in the little bit that we saw of him. We haven't really seen Brenton Cox at all. In fact, I don't think we have seen a single snap from him. He was having a great off season. He just didn't get any

snap from him. He was having a great offseason. He just didn't get any opportunities because we just had too many guys. And so now we're going to be able to see more. I mean, you know, obviously everyone, well, yeah, we're going to see more Lucas Van Ness. You're right. We're going to see Lucas Van Ness slot up to Preston's spot, but we're also going to see more Kingsley. We're going to see more Mosby.
