Hey guys, welcome to the Bill Barnwall Show. I am Bill Barnwell. Today, our series on improving the NFL comes to a conclusion. Two weeks ago, Charles McDonald from Yahoo Sports came on to talk about how we could improve the NFL on the field.

Last week, the Boston Herald's Doug Kai joined us, and he fixed the NFL, and maybe the Gregorian calendar, off of the field.

This week, we've turned to the real experts.

You guys.

Twitter followers, ex-followers, whatever you want to call them, I put the request out to you. Give me your ideas, how you think the NFL should be fixed. You guys were awesome. You came through in spades. There's tons of great stuff here. Tons of stuff I agree with, some stuff I disagree with. But today I am going to break down your suggestions. Why they're good. I have some

questions about them. There's a couple that are absolutely insane that I love. So excited to break

down your thoughts. And because they've been on the show before, I'm going to start with some ringers, perhaps people who have made appearances on the show who passed along their thoughts.

We'll start with JP Acosta, a regular contributor to the show.

JP said every five offensive plays, a lineman is required to carry the ball.

And I do like this idea that a lot of people had different variations on, you know,

either all players are eligible or we'll get to some extra point stuff later.

I do love the idea of a team running four straight offensive plays to a non-linman.

And on that fifth play, you know a lineman play is coming.

And you just load up the box.

You get your heavy personnel in there. Maybe that's

going to be the best play action opportunity I can imagine. Maybe you're running bubble screens

to offensive linemen. A stranger things have happened. I think it would create some opportunities

for teams to do stuff that they wouldn't normally do. And that is usually fun when NFL teams have

to try something out of the box when they're forced to be a little creative. It leads to fun stuff.

Like I think the kickoff rules these year. I think we're going to get some fun stuff out of that

because I believe NFL teams are going to be forced. They're going to have to try and catch up

and compete with the teams who do get early
