In Chicago, as of a minute ago, it should have been a day ago I won't get into 20

hours worth of delays I'm sure it wasn't United Airlines fault I think that's the

best thing you could say about that carrier United Airlines it really wasn't their fault plausibly, maybe,

deniably, according to the lawyers. Anyway, Brandon Johnson, the mayor of this fine

city for which there are many a protest of brewing, was on many of the Sunday shows and he uncorked

one of his supposed laugh lines to try to get out of a little bit of hot water

but also to zing it to the Republicans.

Are you sure you guys are going to be able to handle all the protests?

Here's what Brandon Johnson said.

Unlike the Republican Party, which is very painful to watch right now.

I don't know what's worse.

Watching the Republican Party or breakdancing at the Olympics.

Let's stick to security here first.

First of all, kudos to Margaret Brennan for not giving him the courtesy laugh just moving right along that didn't quite work.

But I take umbrage. I take deep umbrage. How is it that breakdancing got to be the butt of the joke. I understand that Brandon Johnson, this is how I took the comment,

he was reaching for the universally shared object of derision,

who was a specific break dancer a kangaroo

channeling academic named Reagan B girl Reagan and we were all making fun of Reagan, but first of all, you know on the show, I like Reagan, or at least, I understand what she was trying to do, get a couple creativity points, because she can't really, you know, move the body to the music. I, actually actually maybe, you know, guy like me would identify with that.

But it doesn't make sense to me that Brandon Johnson would be deriding,

breakdancing in the Olympics.
