Hello and welcome to Sky Talkers' fifth anniversary special. I'm your host Charlotte.

Hey everyone. I'm your other host, Caitlin. And happy birthday to Sky Talkers.

Five years. I, that's such a long time. I can't believe that it has been five years because sometimes I still feel like,

oh, my new podcast, like this little thing that Caitlin and I started. And it's, it's number one,

not little, not a little thing. It's a huge part of our lives and something I care so deeply about and you do too and I on the flip side of that like as much as it still feels new I still feel like a newbie when it comes to podcasting and editing

and things like that I also feel like we've been doing this forever because it feels so comfortable

and it feels like exactly what we

should be doing. And I felt that when we started it in 2017, it was like this was one of the

best decisions of our lives at least, I feel like. And it's so crazy to be celebrating five

years. That is a huge accomplishment. And I think that you and I should

be really proud of ourselves for continuing, for like learning and growing. Still doing it? Keeping up with

it. Oh, my God. It was a struggle. I mean, come on. There's been a whole pandemic through it.

Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, you remember, so like when we started the podcast, I was starting graduate school. And there were a couple times, well, one, I was in graduate school for the first couple years of the show and also working while in school. So like our recording times were always like super late. Or there were a couple times where we specifically for rebels where we

would record rebels before I would have to go into school in the morning because then I would

yeah because then I would also have class or work after my classes were over so it would be like

we would like the show would come out the night before and then we would record that next morning

because we really wanted to like talk about it so badly and like get the episode up,

but that would mean that we would have to wake up at like 6 a.m. to get the episode recorded.
