Just as a heads up for ESPN, we will be doing capsules on every free agent signing, whether it's a resigning once the period starts,

0:39.3

or if it's somebody from another team. So that'll all start next week.

0:44.3

So we'll have capsules on there every team, every move the commanders make during that period.

0:49.3

I will be filing a capsule about what it means, how this player fits, is there a risk involved, etc. So that will be, look for that on ESPN.com. I'll be doing videos as well. I'll be doing a podcast pretty much every day because I think they're going to be that active and I think it's going to be that worthwhile. So, and for Tuesday night, there is a chance. I'll be doing a live stream with Bram. We'll have to kind of lock that in.

1:12.6

But I'll let you know that about that on Monday when I do a podcast after the day, the first day of legal tampering, when they will agree to deals with players, when anybody can agree to deals with players, because that's the start of the

1:28.7

legal tampering period. And the unofficial kickoff to free agency, somehow the period starts at noon,

1:34.4

and somehow teams are in players are able to agree to deals at 1201. I don't know how that

1:39.5

happens, folks. Anyways, the official lead year starts on Wednesday at 4 o'clock. That's when players from outside, players from other teams can then sign with the commanders, right?

1:49.4

So you can resign your own players up until that point, but that's when the players you agree to deals with from other teams are allowed to sign.

1:58.3

Anyways, there you go.

1:59.4

So that's the heads up there. Today I'm going to be doing a five

2:02.3

thoughts as we head into this period and just kind of getting you ready for this. Before I get there,

2:08.5

just a couple of things. They did re-sign kicker Jake Moody. They did not tender him last week,

2:13.5

which seemed to signal a different direction, but really what it meant is they could

2:18.2

resign them at a cheaper amount. So that's what they're doing here. And then, so he'll be back.

2:24.2

I don't know if they'll bring in competition. I think with when you haven't had this position

2:29.6

settled in a while, you would like to think there'd be some competition. So because I don't know how you can say there and say problem solved. I just don't, I don't think anybody can be at that point yet. So anyway, but for right now, Jake Moody's the only kicker on the roster, but they did sign to one-year deal. They also re-signed Trey Birx to a one-year deal. Now, there's incentives that take it up to $4 million.
