Welcome to our second summer session for Lighthouse, and this will be the last summer session

where we're doing miscellaneous topics, inshallah.

Once the semester begins in August,

we will resume our actual series.

So this is a miscellaneous topic

that I feel needs to be discussed,

especially in light of the reality of the situation of the Ummah,

as we currently see it.

So I want to begin by stating that in my analysis, the biggest problem that we have in our Western

Ummma, without a doubt in my opinion, is the fact that the average person who identifies as a Muslim

is not living a lifestyle that is even partially in accordance with the teachings of Islam.

And all you need to do to get an indication, a pulse, one of the most obvious signs for this is

how many people come for Salat al-Aid versus Salat al Jumua versus any other of the five daily Salat.

Salat al-Aid typically is five to eight times what a Juma would be.

So there are people coming for Salat al-Iid, 20% of whom only come for Juma.

Think about that.

On average, any congregation in America,

their Eid is four to five to six to seven times more than their Jumua.

And not every Muslim comes for Eid even.
