0:05.7	I should be whispering because we're about to be sharing some secrets here today.

0:22.1	I had written a book called Paris on Air and I did a pre-sale on Kickstarter that proved popular, so popular that I had
0:31.2	the idea to do a US book tour and we had grand plans. My wife, Lena and i to drive across the whole of the united states
0:40.8	from seattle to miami the long way around and we really started booking everything it was going to
0:48.5	happen i think you can all guess where this story's going it didn't happen just as no one's traveled this year or the past year,
0:55.7	really. But one of the sort of fortuitous things that happened in all the planning was I started
1:00.4	back and forthing with the Alliance Francaz of the USA. So the whole organization, this is language
1:06.7	learners in America, people learning French. And I got in contact with sort of one of the higher
1:12.3	ups there, and I was going to do stop-ins at Alianz Francazes all across America. As it turned
1:19.0	out, obviously I didn't go, but during the lockdowns in Paris, I gave talks to various
1:24.9	branches of this language school. Now, funnily enough, I have the great honor of being
1:32.7	the first ever invited guest to speak for all the Alianz Franceses in America at once.
1:40.0	So to understand this, if you watch the Lord of the Rings, you know, there are, there are like 12 rings for man and 15 rings for elves or whatever it is, but then there's the one ring to rule them all, one ring to bind them, one ring to something or other, and in the darkness, find them.
