asked a question today that's going to make me do a little diversion. It's kind of related to what I've

been doing with the critical pedagogy series. So those of you that are longtime listeners and

avid followers of the podcast know that I'm in the midst of beginning to do a very long series

on critical pedagogy, the critical turn in education actually. So critical education theory,

but I'm going to ask today, you know, if I had a chance to just kind of tell people in particular

state legislators or school board members or maybe even super school superintendents,

you know, maybe the top five things that I would say about critical race theory in education.

What would I boil it down to? And it's, you know, it's very difficult to pick five things. So I

picked five. And I'm actually just going to go through those since it's the podcast. I'm not

going to just limit myself to five. I will, for example, you know, I would point out to anybody

that wants to deal with critical race theory that the first thing that I actually tell them and

says not on my list of the five is that they're liars. And you must understand that critical race

theorists are liars. And in that they are liars, they will lie about critical race theory in just

about anything else to advance their agenda. They will lie about history. They'll lie about what

they're doing. They're lying about the budget. They'll lie about literally everything to keep

advancing critical race theory. So we'll come back to that. That's very important. But again,

not on this list of five things that I'm going to kind of go into. Another one is that among the

lies that they tell. And so why would I ramp the lies? Because you need discernment to deal with

these people. Okay, you have to be able to tell like you actually have to know this stuff. I keep

telling people this the bitter pill of fighting critical theory is you actually have to know enough

of it to know when it's being used and when you're being manipulated and lied to that set
