The five former Memphis police officers who were fired over their actions during the arrest of Tyre Nichols are facing murder and kidnapping charges. Authorities say Tyre Nichols, a 29-year-old Black man, was hospitalized after a traffic stop and “confrontation” with Memphis police. He died three days after he was arrested.
