Hello again, fiends and welcome to Nightmare on Film Street. I'm Kim. I'm John and this

week the parents are all against us. We are talking society and the faculty. This is a very odd pairing. It is an odd pairing but I'm

down with it. I think it works 100%. I think this is like one of the best double

features we've done.

Yeah and normally we pick really I want to I don't want to say on the nose but we normally pick pretty on the nose pairings and

these ones definitely compliment each other but they are not the same movie.

Not at all. They do not have the same villain. It's not necessarily all alien.

It's definitely like alien as in not human.

Like foreign entities.

But we deal with a bunch of different themes like there's um becoming an adult with the faculty and um not being understood and all that stuff and then in society it's

about the wealthy consuming the poor and also adulting I think and adulting And finding your role within that society.

Whether it means that you're the high class like nutrients sucker or you're just a lowly surf who's there for nothing but food. But before we get into these two movies

we're gonna kick it off with the usual what is keeping you creepy John. We are still

deep within our Fantasia Fest coverage. It is a genre festival that lasts for weeks and

our second round out to Montreal. We saw some pretty amazing films.

Yeah, I'm so glad we went back. We were kind of humming and hawing. We were really on the fence about which weekends we were going to go and I'm so glad we went when we did. But a special shout out too to Chris who is still in Montreal lives in Montreal and is doing all of our on-the-ground coverage for the final weeks and the lucky bastard saw Mandy so that review will be on the website. There's a ton of other reviews that John myself, Chris have done on all of the films that are hitting the review circuit.
