Being joined now by a man who is getting set to make his 10th trip to the Cross of Games. Noah Olson, Noah, how you doing, man? Who to thunk it? I'm doing well. How are you guys? I'm great. And I was sitting here thinking about before we started. You know, 10 trips to the Cross of Games, I still vividly remember your first. Go back to that first one.

And if I had come up to you then and said,

hey, you know what, this is,

you got nine more after this.

What do you think you would have said?

Hmm.

I think it would have been hard to believe then,

but I do think that it would have been

what I wanted to believe.

In fact,

when we had the athlete welcome dinner in 2014, I don't know if you guys were there

for this, but we were upstairs in that little room that overlooked the soccer stadium, and they

had the athletes go around one by one and say their name, what games this was for them, and what region they had the athletes go around one by one and say their name what games this was

for them and what region they had competed out of and i said my name is noa olson i competed out of the

southeast region and this is hopefully my first of many appearances of the crossfit games and it's

funny in hindsight

that was like not very well received by a lot of people up there in the room

understandably so for sure I think if there was a rookie that came in and said he was

gonna be there for a long time it would be like a little off-putting but I think

I had the aspirations to do this for a while, to make a career

out of it, but never knew that it was going to unfold in the way that it has. But I think that

aspiration and that belief in yourself, maybe even to your detriment at times, you know, in reading the room. It is something
