Summary

Felix shares how starting early, getting the right guidance, and staying flexible helped him buy his first home in the Bronx despite believing homeownership in New York was out of reach.

Buying a first home in New York can feel impossible for many renters, especially when the process feels confusing and expensive. Felix explains how speaking with experienced professionals early helped him realize he was much closer to buying than he originally thought. David and Felix discuss co-ops, subletting, house hacking, and why flexibility matters when buying in a competitive market. This episode shows how education, planning, and the right support team can completely change a first-time buyer’s path to homeownership.

“Sometimes you think you’re far off, but once you talk to some professionals and you got some good savings, you’re actually not that far away from buying property.” — Felix Agustin Rosario
