All right. Welcome to the Carl Jackson Show podcast on this Thursday edition. I got a lot to talk about today, but also there is some breaking news that I just want to share with you. And actually this is top the tip sheet this morning, but consumer prices surge higher than expected.

They're up 8.2% and honestly, let's face it. They're up higher than that. But according to Breitbart, prices paid by US households, search higher in September as a wide range of goods and services became more expensive for you and I guys.

I'm not going to get worse. I'm not trying to be negative. I'm not trying to depress you. I'm just trying to be completely honest with you. The federal government is spending way too much money.

They waited acted too long to adjust interest rates to slow spending down and please understand that we're in the crisis that we're in for no other reason except the government has spent way too much of your money and put you further into debt.

That's what's going on. So prices rose 8.2% compared with the year earlier, the latest consumer price index showed on Tuesday evidence that the price stability stopped by the federal reserve remains an elusive and distant destination.

Compared with August, prices were up 0.4%. The Department of Labor of Bureau and Labor Statistics said are the Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics said, of course, CPI consumer price index, which strips out the volatile food and energy prices rose 6.6%.

But we know food and energy prices are going up. Energy prices are going back up as we continue to drain the strategic petroleum reserve. You guys have seen the prices, the food prices, they have doubled and tripled in some cases and and they cut back the amount of stuff that you get, let's say in your groceries, in your packages. It's insane.

This is the highest rate of core inflation since 1981. So congratulations to Joe Biden, who has broken another record. So guys, do all that you can to prepare. And I don't honestly know all the ways to prepare just being straight with you.

So you can work as much as you can stock up on any necessities that you need to have around maybe canned food, so on, et cetera. Just your basic preparation, the stuff that we do around here in Florida for our hurricanes, people have gotten to the point.

Despite the flooding, that's why so many people, as many people fare bad, as a result of Hurricane E and in Florida, I think a lot of people were prepared simply because we have so many hurricanes here, you kind of stay prepared.

People have been getting ready for this type of stuff and I think the same things apply to this situation because things, I, what's, what's disconcerting about this is, I've never experienced anything like this in my lifetime.

I, I'm guessing that many of you listening to this podcast, it's the same thing when I'm, and I'm talking about the economy. So to understand what's, what's coming isn't completely comprehensible in my mind, except to say that I know it's going to be bad.
