I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike. And it was the first practice of training camp today. Exciting times. Mike, your first question to Vogel was about that, right? Like that idea of they've been

spending all summer conceptualizing and theorizing what this will look like, what that'll look like,

and this is the first day of it being in the gym with all the guys in an official capacity

and seeing where the rubber meets the road a bit. And so you asked, that was the nature of your first

question to Vogel. And his response, the first thing he said was just getting the new guys up to

speed with his defensive principles. And then the second thing, I transcribed it. I rarely do this,

but I transcribed this, and I want to read it directly because I think we are in the middle of a shift in style of play that's fairly severe for the caliber of team that we are.

And several things, whether it's my suspicion that we were moving on from Mark or AD possibly playing at the five, all kind of play into this style of play, right?

And what I think we're going for.

He said, we did look at a few different ways to really build the running habit.

Isn't that an interesting phrase, the running habit?

We want to be the best fast-breaking team in the NBA.

We have dynamic players and adding a guy like Russ, the speed that he brings to the table. We want to support him, you know, and get everybody running. That's when we're going to be at our best. That's when we were at our best two years ago, you know, when we led to league in fast break points.
