| 0:52.6 | Welcome to the first pitch podcast. You can find me on Twitter at if the chew fits. So let's get right to it. We've got injuries and transactions. The Red Sox top prospect Tristan Cassis has been recalled. So you can definitely look at him at least in 12 team leagues. It might be a little rough because I'm not sure how much he'll play. But he is definitely one of the top first base prospects in the league so if you're chasing some power go ahead and look for Tristan Cassis Jake Flaherty will be recalled on Monday to get the starts you can get him activated if that's a risk you want to take Jorge Polanco hit the IL to finally get over the knee issue he's been battling with his left kneecap. Andrew Benintendi hit the IL as well. |
| 1:28.4 | He's got swelling in his right wrist. Cutter Crawford was placed on the 15-day IL with a shoulder impingement. He's going to miss at least two turns so he's a guy you can consider cutting if you don't have room on your IL. Lewis Robert has rejoined the team from the paternity list and he should get the start on Tuesday, he may make a pinch hit or pinch run appearance today, but he should not be |

| 1:44.2 | pinch run appearance today, but he should not be expected to start until Tuesday. Miguel Cabrera |
| 1:50.5 | sadly hit the IL for the Tigers. Vinnie Pasquintino started a rehab assignment for the Royals on |
| 1:56.6 | Saturday. He should be back within the next week or so. John Bertie for the Marlins remains out of the lineup, though with Monday being an off day for the Marlins, there's a chance he'll return to action on Tuesday, but certainly a tough place for weekly managers, if that's a position you're in. Carlos Carrasco returns on the IL today. He gets a start against the Nationals, and I'll talk about him again in a little bit. Zach Wheeler is not going to make his scheduled start on Tuesday, though there's some hope that he can make a start late in the week if it is something that you're counting on in a weekly format, man, that's a huge risk to take. There's a chance that they push it to the week after. So, you know, definitely something to think about. However, if it's a daily league, you can just keep him on your IL for a little bit longer until he's reactivated. Speaking of being reactivated, Joey Bart should be reactivated from the seven-day IL due to a concussion on Tuesday, so you can plug him back into lineups if that's what you need. And then Wander Franco finally begins a rehab assignment today, and we're all hoping he can finish it this time, certainly something we're all going to want to keep an eye on. As for hitting performances from yesterday, Tyrone Taylor leads it off. He went three for five for the Brewers with a double, two home runs, three runs scored, three RBI, and a stolen base, an incredible out outing for the young outfielder. And while Tyrone Taylor does have power and speed, he's just been unable to be consistent. |
| 3:08.4 | That said, Taylor should be on your radar in a lot of formats as the Brewers are rolling into Coors Field at the start of next week. Nate Eaton of the Royals, he went four for five with a double, a triple, a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base. This was already Eaton's third stolen base this season. As he operates in the outfield and as a pinch runner for the Royals, |
| 3:26.0 | Nate Eaton isn't so base this season. As he operates in the outfield and as a pinch runner for the Royals, |
| 3:26.1 | Nate Eaton isn't so relevant outside of AL-only leagues, but hey, it's something, and it gives us a good reason to talk about him. Paul Goldschmidt once again, he went two-for-four with a home run, two-run, two-run, two RBI, a walk, and a stolen base, and they've already started putting in the paperwork to get his name on that NL MVP trophy, |
| 3:41.6 | just in case you're wondering. |
