I call Russell Finley. Thank you, President Officer. Our party, my colleague Liam Kerr,

submitted an amendment to the Victims Bill to secure a grooming gang's inquiry in Scotland.

The Justice Secretary Angela Constance rejected it and said that further inquiries were not necessary.

She told Parliament that a leading expert, Professor Alexis J., shares my view.

In an email to the Justice Secretary, which we forced the Government to release,

The comments that the Justice Secretary made in the Stage three proceedings on the Victims and Witnesses Bill

were, as I said to Mr Finley last week, a reflection of the general comments that were made about the issues at that time.

And, of course, the issues that Professor Jay raised were corrected in the minutes of the National

Childhood Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Group, which were of course published as a consequence

of that meeting and released to the public of that information, which clarified the point
