Welcome back to another episode of Oil and Gas this week. You're listening to episode 114. What's going on, Mark? We remember to do first Friday Q&A finally. I know. We skipped last month. Sorry, everybody. I wish we had an excuse. We just forgot to do the show. Looking at the show notes and we're like, oh, I don't think we did a first Friday Q&A for the month of May. The month of May. So here we are back for June. You guys know the drill. You write in, ask questions. We attempt to answer them and hopefully provide you guys some value. So before we do that, you want to talk about the on-road sponsors? Yeah, so I want to talk about a couple things.

0:54.3

So we want to think our on-the-road sponsors, so Total Land, the world's most advanced field land management system. They allow us to tour around, meet all you people. They're great. They're literally the layman's virtual office. I think we're actually going to see them in person during Lago because they're in Lafayette. And then Lehek Harrison, I just talked to them yesterday, Jake.

1:12.6

They're global experts in talent management.

If you would like us to come to your event, if you have a sales group, a conference, a school, reach out to Jake and I. We'd be happy to discuss the details. We just came back from a geo convention where we gave the keynote, and we liked doing that sort of stuff. And the audiences actually really appreciate us coming out there. So if you want us to come out, speak, let us know. And then before we get into questions, Jake, we just have to give a big shout out to Paige Wilson because she just launched her show. Yeah, she did. And I saw the numbers yesterday and they're actually looking really, really good. Really good. Olin gas industry leaders. If you Google it, you'll find it right away. It's part of the oil and gas global network. She's interviewing senior level people in oil and gas industry and discussing their backstory. And Jake, I'll tell you a secret. She just interviewed Commissioner Craddett from the railroad commission. That's going to be a great show to listen to. Yeah, that's going to be amazing. That's really good access. Yeah, really good access. And if you see the line of talent that she has lined up. I mean, she has the movers and shakers in the oil and gas industry. And then to make it, to put the icing on a cake, she's giving away $200 steak dinners. So if you want to go win a $200 steak dinner and listen to a CEO of an all company, tell about his life story, go check out her show. We'll put a link in the show notes, this one time. We'll give page one link for free. And Capitol Girls amazing, too. So that's not just like any steak dinner. No, it is actually amazing. Services great there. The food is fantastic. Great wine selection. What a cool place to be interviewed. And what a cool gift certificate actually win.

So let's Jake, let's go ahead and jump into questions.

3:00.6

Sounds good. First question up. Sorry if I butcher the name, Salim Albeder, a student at University of Aberdeen. He writes, I'm currently doing a master's degree in oil and gas enterprise

management at the University of Aberdeen,

3:07.5

Scotland. My focal point is to look into the decommissioning business and the current

3:11.8

models that exist for the industry and the governments to get what they need. I believe there's

3:17.0

a gap, as you've pointed out in your shows, in the exploitation of big data analytics, particularly

3:21.1

when it comes to decommissioning. My question is, how and where do you see the

3:24.8

concept of big data analytics playing a major role in engineering decommissioning activities before

3:30.6

a project is just about to start? Yeah, what a great question. This is something we've talked about a lot.

3:35.4

Maybe I've never put all the pieces together in one place. I'm trying to do it here. So in case you

3:40.1

don't know what decommissioning is, different parts of the world have

3:43.3

different rules, but it's basically when you take the well that's in production and you
