Netflix has expanded its relationship with the National Football League from two games.

Broadcast on Christmas Day, the last two seasons. They are now up to five. Two of them have been announced.

They'll handle the 49ers-Rams game from Melbourne to start the season after, obviously, the opener in Seattle.

And then Thanksgiving Eve for the first time ever the Green Bay Packers travel to face the L.A. Rams.

Man, they like the Rams at Netflix.

They're getting two out of two that we know Rams games.

And they're also going to be hosting the NFL honors now, or at least televising it. But there is. And this, we talked about this yesterday, Chris, this went from maybe they'll do it to definite with nothing in between. Yeah, I know. It went from a possibility to a given. And in my mind, it was a given the moment. I mean, as soon as they talk about it. Of course they know they're going to do it. Exactly. Of course they're doing. They're just getting everybody ready for it. That's it. And it may be, and like if there was some groundswell of opposition, there's no way in how you can do it, then maybe they would have backed away from it. But this was one clear night where people are settled in, they're home.

and it changes, and everybody's happy, you got to go somewhere, you've got to do something.

To me, Thanksgiving Eve is the one night where you can just kind of hang out at home and just relax. And I can still do that, but I'm going to be watching a football game while I do that. Well, yeah. I mean, damn, that sounds better than what? Looking at what? What are you going to be looking at? Your 99th million episode of Seinfeld?

I mean, yeah. You're going to sit there and watch the damn TV anyways. You might as well watch some football. But I got to work. I'm going to have the laptop. Right. And everything that, I mean, it's part. The doors are open. That's the point. I hear you. I know. being selfish because Thanksgiving Eve is one of the nights where I can shut down and like enjoy life for a little bit. I hear you. That now is out the window because more money is flowing into the coffers. No, no. I got you. I'm amazed that I didn't think that that was a prime spot to drop a game. Yeah. Because it's been just sitting there. Right. She's been sitting there begging to have an NFL game for years. I mean, I'm pumped for it.

You know, I just feel like, yeah, like you're saying, it makes too much sense. You're at the house doing nothing because you're getting ready for the next big day or you've got family at the house. And yes, it's like, hey, we're having a drink. It's a night before Thanksgiving. That'll be on. We know all the young kids like to meet up, the college kids, and go to bars. Gosh, they're going to love having the game on there. So it's the time of the year where the appetite for football is at its strongest, right? And I think that's where you just go, this is going to be amazing.

So I'm very excited for it. I really am. I love it. Now, let me ask you this. Do you think, what are they going to do with these two teams? Are they going to play a Saturday game? They can't play a Saturday game before that. Or do they go by week? Or are they just going to say, suck it up? you got two days to get ready here.

This was a follow-up that someone reported that the two teams picked to play on Thanksgiving Eve will have had the prior week off. Because remember, our reaction to it was you don't get a real buy.

You get more time off after that game following your buy than you do on your buy week.
